Getting Started

New Client Essentials

  • If you are a new client, please arrive 15 minutes early for your first session to fill out our info/waiver form and get acquainted with the studio. 
  • Please be sure to keep a current email and/or cell number on record for updates and notifications.
  • Revolution in Motion provides a daily cubby, water, and any equipment you need to participate in class.
  • Please remove your shoes upon arrival. Only barefoot or indoor shoes are permitted.

Group Class Policy

  • Class reservations can be made online or over the phone (1 212-564-0500) with a credit card to confirm your place in class.
  • Drop-ins are welcome, space permitting.
  • Please arrive 5-10 minutes early for class. To avoid interruption and prevent injuries, students who arrive 10 minutes late will not be allowed to participate in class.
  • Revolution in Motion reserves the right to cancel classes due to non-attendance, inclement weather, adverse or unpredictable circumstances. Every client will be notified accordingly.

Cancellations

  • If you need to cancel your private training session please let us know 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged.
  • If you need to cancel your private session with Dr. Edythe Heus, please notify us 2 business days in advance to avoid being charged.

Attire

  • We suggest comfortable clothing to allow you freedom of movement for all training scenarios. This includes: tank tops, t-shirts, leggings, sweats, and shorts. 
  • The majority of your training will be done barefoot. Sneakers are worn in some advanced classes such as slide board and training sequences. Your trainer will alert you in advance if sneakers will be needed for private sessions.

Private Training

  • Everyone that we work with, whether you are a professional athlete, new to working out, or recovering from an injury, begins at the foundation level or what we consider the fundamentals. This is because everyone comes to us with very specific neurological wiring that often requires training to rewire the nervous system in order to achieve optimal performance. 
  • Before your first private training session we will perform a posture and gait analysis. Neurological testing may be included in the evaluation. This will be performed on a weekly basis in order to track progress and adjust your programing accordingly.
